Halloween Howl 2008, Trick AND Treat!
What is our new theme this year? Why, you get a trick AND a treat!

The TRICK!
Three weeks into the Howl, you will need to send an avatar sized piece of artwork for your person to Aalyve or Starrydance, and we will gift them for you! This is the time to try to TRICK your giftee and hide your identity! Try a new medium that you are not known for, do something crazy or zany, and remember this is just a small gift - an Avatar only!

The TREAT!
The main theme, is of course, the TREAT! of Halloween - which is due on Halloween Evening itself! This should be the best artwork you can possibly do in your main medium - knock those socks right off!

Sign-ups
Sign-ups are NOW OPEN and will be open from Friday, September 5th until MIDNIGHT CST on Friday, September 19th for a total of FOURTEEN DAYS! On Saturday, September 20th assignments will be sent through Private Messages (PM!) in the early evening!

Turn-ins
This year there are TWO! Artworks to turn in....

The TRICK will be a small avatar sized piece of artwork that you create for your person! You must turn this artwork in to Aalyve Wyyre or Starrydance during the designated time frame of Friday, October 10th until MIDNIGHT CST Sunday, October 12th! Anything turned in after midnight on the 12th will be considered late and we will send the goblins after you! So don't be late!

The TREAT masterpieces are due on Friday, October 31st . We'll open the turn in thread as early as we can on Halloween night (Friday night, October 31st), and you have until the late hours of Sunday Eve till turn it in - but dont miss out on turning it in on Halloween night itself! There will be a specail treat in store for you if you turn it in ON Halloween or before! <3

Your Masterpieces
The art medium is entirely up to you. (Freehand, pixel, 3-D, Manip, etc.)
Keep in Mind the Theme, Trick AND! Treat - or any dark, Halloween, Autumn, or wonderfully pumpkin king approved artwork!
*Do* challenge yourself!

Participation Requirements
There are none! All members of good standing can sign up!

Signup Requirements
Any and all characters are welcome! Don't have a current game character? Thats fine! Make one up! Please provide photo or screenshot reference (there are lots of great stock artists out there!).

NOTE: You will have to link your own artwork to show you are an artist, as this is an art challenge!

The Last Little Bits

Failed turn-ins for either the Halloween or Winter challenges will continue to result in a permanent ban from all future Halloween or Winter Challenges. Any member who is currently on the Challenge Ban List will remain so, unable to participate in the Halloween or Winter challenges. HOWEVER, these members are free to participate in any other project that happens throughout the rest of the year, whether hosted by an Admin or a member.

Late turn-ins for either the Halloween or Winter challenges will continue to result in a one-time suspension from the next 'big' Studio Challenge. If you turn-in late for Halloween Howl, you will not be allowed to participate in the Winter exchange. If you turn-in late for the Winter exchange, you will not be allowed to participate in the Halloween Howl the FOLLOWING YEAR.

So, I you don't want to end up six feet under, don't turn in your work late.

Make arrangements with a friend or an admin ahead of time if you will not personally be able to turn in the work yourself.

Personality/Background (describe what your character is like): Shae is friendly and loves to help people, but is equally happy exploring and adventuring on her own. She is easy going and takes her frequent deaths in stride. Shae is independent and a bit of a risk taker - which ends up getting her in trouble more often than not.
